In September 2019, we were contacted by dentist Joke Van der Straate. The large glass areas and glass inner walls in her modern dental practice appeared to create a huge reverberation. This made the sharp sounds of the machines sound very bright and painful, creating a highly unpleasant situation, both for the patient and the dentist. Could we help her improve the acoustics in her two cabinets? Of course!
During our representative's visit, it was measured how long sound continued to reverberate in both rooms. A reverberation time of 1.4 and 1.7 seconds, respectively, was measured. After properly measuring the rooms, in consultation with the client, it was decided to install a sober white ceiling panel (COUSTceiling) as a base in each cabinet with sufficient absorption surface to eliminate the unpleasant reverberation. In addition, to give the rooms a playful and fresh touch, the client also opted for some Soundleaves elements (WALL) on the wall, which produced a very successful result!
