The French branch of RBB Economics is located in Paris' 8th district, right in the city center. Having an office in this location has its advantages, but it also means less available space per employee. The offices are located in a beautiful, stately building with high ceilings and authentic elements. However, the presence of several employees in a limited space created acoustic problems, both in the meeting room, the separate offices and in the common office.
Our account manager visited to see the problems for each room. She then formulated an appropriate solution, with warranty. In the conference room, we placed 3 wall panels (COUSTpanels) to get the reverberation time to a comfortable level. The three separate offices needed a total of 5 more. In the common room, besides reverberation, there was also a problem of speech privacy. Therefore, more material was needed. However, the available wall space was limited. Our craftsmen therefore installed a ceiling panel (COUSTceiling) that integrated perfectly into the room. In addition, we also hung 4 colorful Soundleaves “WALL” on the wall, and 2 Soundleaves “DESK” on the desks. These fresh design elements are now real eye-catchers in the room.
Thanks to our years of experience in acoustics, the acoustic problem was, as expected, immediately off the table. Parking our van in the busy streets of Paris and maneuvering the materials up the narrow stairwells proved to be the biggest challenge in the end, which we nevertheless brought to a successful conclusion.
