The problem

For the new offices of construction promoter Saelens - Vandenberge in the Ijzerstraat in Aalter, Ivo Vandenberge was looking for adequate acoustic solutions. The floor plans of the new offices included many glass partitions, and the entrance hall would continue into the open space with a conference table and some desks. Without acoustic solutions, this open space would have had to contend with poor intelligibility during meetings, due to noise from the entrance hall. In turn, the individual offices would have to deal with enormous reflections of (telephone) conversations on the glass walls.

The office was conceived as a sleek, modern work environment in which an acoustic solution should be as unobtrusive as possible. So we decided to integrate several acoustic COUSTceilings (ceiling panels) into the interior. In the large open space, above the long conference table and the desks next to it, two COUSTceilings of up to six meters long were installed. Custom COUSTceilings were also installed in each of the separate meeting room and offices. For the installation between the glass walls, our fitters had to be very meticulous in order not to damage anything on the joinery.

Result

The ceiling panels are a perfect part of the sleek design of this office. The various pass-throughs we integrated into the panels could be used by the customer to retrofit LED strips, both straight and zigzag. This office now enjoys an even more beautiful look and atmosphere thanks to our products. The customer was therefore extremely satisfied with the result.
