The problem
The company Sibomat, specialist in wood frame construction, is located in a large building with spacious offices for its many employees. We were contacted by Sibomat because they were facing acoustic problems in several rooms. The need for acoustic solutions was high, and the customer wanted a quick solution. We discussed the possibilities and proposed a specific approach for each room.
Our solution
In the administrative department and reception area, we installed some nice, sleek ceiling panels (COUSTceilings) as well as some desk screens (COUSTdeskscreen). The largest meeting room consisted almost entirely of glass, and a ceiling panel was not an option there either. The client therefore chose a combination of a wall panel (COUSTpanel) and an acoustic column (COUSTbase). Our freestanding COUSTbase provides very efficient absorption due to the padding, which is 35 cm wide x 35 cm deep (COUSTbase height 160 cm). The thickness of the mass ensures that even very low-frequency sound is efficiently absorbed. Moreover, the COUSTbase can also be used as a decorative element.
Result
The remaining rooms were each tackled at the client's request using large wall panels (COUSTpanels) with prints provided by Sibomat's own marketing department. We initially installed the panels without prints, so that the acoustic problem was already off the table. Later, after the customer was able to design suitable graphics at his own pace, we returned to place the prints on the panels. Overall, the finished project looks very nice.
