The problem

Stephex Group is a world leader in the construction and production of horse trucks.

The company philosophy is “constantly striving for the highest quality” and this is clearly reflected in the magnificent headquarters in Meise where all Stephex employees work closely together to realize this vision day after day. Satisfied employees produce better work, and Stephex management understood that more than anyone else. Coust Acoustics was contacted to make the offices even more comfortable so that both executives and all employees could work in an acoustically pleasant working atmosphere.

A reverberation measurement was carried out in all individual offices as well as in the landscapes where several people work together in one large room. A reverberation value of 0.8 seconds is a very pleasant environment to work in, and this objective was achieved with different solutions.

In the management offices, a combination of COUSTwalls and COUSTpanels (wall panels) with beautiful pictures was used. In the landscape offices, the reverberation problem was solved with COUSTceilings (ceiling panels) in the same color as the ceiling. Everything neatly aligned with the dormers and very unobtrusive.

Result

Het resultaat mag gezien en gehoord worden. De akoestische oplossingen van Coust “blenden” perfect met de omgeving en de reeds aanwezige decoratie in deze smaakvolle kantoren. Voor de COUSTpanels met print werden de foto’s door Stephex aangeleverd. Twee vliegen in één klap: ze illustreren de bedrijfsactiviteiten en zijn bovendien geluiddempend. De COUSTwalls en COUSTceilings verdwijnen als het ware in de ruimte omdat ze perfect afgestemd zijn op de muren en de plafonds waarop ze gemonteerd werden.
